Mooncloud’s Smokey Paloma With Mezcal and Aperol

IMG_6797.jpg

Upon our most recent trip to Great Barrington, Massachusetts we were lucky enough to have locals show us the best cocktail bar, Moon Cloud. Great menu, innovative drinks and a fantastic mixologist, Billy Jack Paul who puts on quite a show. An adorable bar with a fantastic view of a gorgeous street an an old town with buildings over 200 years old. We actually make it a point to visit bars on the worlds best 50 list when traveling, but we have to admit, this bar blows away many on that list. Being a grapefruit lover, Palomas are our favorite, but this one adds a smoky mezcal and aperol. Aperol being quite popular now for a refreshing summer cocktail. So the traditional pink Paloma goes a little bit orange, reminding me of my favorite time of day, just before sunset when the sky glows a golden pink.
